Client Advocacy Specialist

The Client Advocacy Specialist at Shook, Hardy & Bacon plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client experiences. This individual works collaboratively with internal and external teams to streamline workflows, enhance processes, and improve efficiency. As the primary point of contact for clients, they provide administrative support and facilitate seamless communication and service delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices to identify opportunities for process improvement and increase efficiency.
- Communicate with USPTO, clients, attorneys, and third parties to obtain filing instructions, manage patent filings, deadlines, and client procedures.
- Manage a daily docket of deadlines to ensure timely completion and system updates.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews for patent filings by noting errors or omissions and referring them to attorneys.
- Develop client-specific quality management plans, including documentation and training to meet firm and client objectives.
- Provide key support in projects, including training, work assignment, and quality control monitoring of intellectual property professional staff.
- Ensure consistency in inventor formal documents and the process for obtaining inventor signatures.
- Guarantee accuracy and timeliness of tasks through proofreading and tracking duties.
- Support billing efforts to meet firm and client-billing requirements.
