Job Description

To drive business growth and profitability, we are seeking a highly skilled VP - Execution - Strategic Transaction Group to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Transaction Group, you will be responsible for structuring, executing, and managing complex transactions that provide material tax and/or capital benefits to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new strategic opportunities that can make significant contributions to profit after tax and capital.
  • Develop and implement complex transactions and solutions that capture potential PAT/capital benefits from identified opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of transactions, including robust controls, and engage with counterparties, external counsel, and external accountancy firms.
  • Develop and maintain deal models that outline the detailed terms of complex financial instruments, cash flows, accounting, tax, and economic benefits associated with transactions.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across the organization and navigate governance processes, including tax approvals, transaction approvals, board approvals, Exco approvals, business level approvals, and product level approvals.
  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive transaction documentation in conjunction with external counsel.

  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
