Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle settlement of funds to and from clients in a timely manner to ensure all applicable contractual payment terms, warranties, and conditions are met.
  • Communicate with brokers, clients, and reinsurers to ensure exceptional client service standards are achieved.
  • Advise individuals on assessing and submitting client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications to resolve difficult questions and secure reinsurer agreements and payments of claims and account balances.
  • Authorize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other system tools to manage complex transactional processes and ensure assigned tasks are managed effectively and in a timely manner, ensuring client measurement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to.
  • Interface during team and department meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions, and provide inputs for the evolution of the operational model at all levels of the organization.
  • Consult on accounting/claims process for Request For Proposal (RFP) and sales opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Develop strategy to carry out reinsurance audit/reviews with clients and reinsurers and review open claims and/or premium activity, reconcile records to facilitate the review/audit process to ensure process quality.
  • Counsel peers on difficult or contentious reinsurance developments, supporting and providing training, mentoring, and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing.
Requirements:
  • B.S. or B.A. degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of reinsurance/insurance, accounting/claims, or professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
