Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform comprehensive General Ledger (GL) and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.
3. Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accurate recording.
4. Collaborate with department heads to develop and oversee the annual budget.
5. Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial entries.
6. Provide specialized accounting services tailored to the healthcare sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
7. Oversee grant management, ensuring efficient handling of all financial aspects.
8. Lead the year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
9. Conduct regular reviews of balance sheets, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
Qualifications:
1. An Associate's Degree or a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
2. Previous experience in non-profit accounting is advantageous.
3. Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting practices.
4. Knowledge and experience with GL, General Ledger Reconciliation, financial statements, intercompany transactions, budget preparation, healthcare accounting, grants, year-end closing, and balance sheets.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
9. Ability to work independently and manage complex projects while meeting deadlines.
10. High integrity and dependability with a strong focus on results.
