About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff FPGA Engineer to join our growing team at CommScope. As a key member of our ICN product line, you will design and implement FPGAs used in ICN wireless systems, performing architecture trade-off analysis based on design requirements. You will write interface and design specification documents, develop and model FPGA-based DSP functions using MATLAB, and develop and simulate RTL-based modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement FPGAs used in ICN wireless systems
  • Perform architecture trade-off analysis based on design requirements
  • Write interface and design specification documents
  • Develop and model FPGA-based DSP functions using MATLAB
  • Develop and simulate RTL-based modules
  • Support circuit card development and bring-up with FPGA builds
  • Perform design integration at device, unit, and system level across functional teams
Requirements
  • BSEE plus 8 years or MSEE plus 6 years of related experience
  • Proficient in RTL design (VHDL preferred) and experience with AMD or Intel FPGAs and development environments
  • Experience in developing digital signal processing functions (DSP) targeting FPGA or ASIC platform
  • Experience with logic simulation and with design implementation through timing closure
  • Strong design, implementation, and debug experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MATLAB & Simulink
  • Prior experience in wireless standards (LTE, 5GNR) development
  • Embedded software development experience
  • High-speed serial interface development and debug
  • RF system integration experience
What We Offer

At CommScope, we offer a competitive salary range of $102,300.00-$160,00.00, dependent on candidate's work location, experience, and qualifications.
