Job Title: Commercial Lines Producer

Alera Group, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and building relationships with clients to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to penetrate new markets and expand existing relationships.
  • Build and maintain a book of business comprised of local, regional, or state-wide clients with various funding methods or complex plan designs.
  • Meet or exceed set minimum production goals annually, tracking established revenue of new, lost, and retained business.
  • Cultivate and maintain executive level relationships with clients to drive business growth and retention.
  • Identify problems, summarize, and develop strategic solutions that incorporate the client's mission and vision.
  • Stay up-to-date on current markets, market trends, legislative requirements, and industry changes to provide expert advice to clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in sales, with a proven track record of sales success.
  • 3+ years of proven industry experience, with a strong understanding of employee benefits and commercial insurance.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an active state life/health insurance license.
  • Basic knowledge of employee wellness plans and common medical terminology.
  • Strong rapport building skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
