Position Summary

The Environmental Services Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining a hygienic and secure atmosphere within healthcare environments. Responsibilities encompass cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing various areas, managing hazardous waste disposal, and sterilizing medical equipment. Furthermore, this position supports operational functions by assisting with patient nutrition services, including food preparation and supply management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a variety of cleaning duties such as mopping and sweeping
  • Restock cleaning supplies and manage waste disposal
  • Sanitize furniture, floors, and frequently used areas
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication

Nutrition Support Duties

  • Organize and replenish patient snack supplies
  • Sanitize food preparation areas and equipment
  • Monitor food temperature logs and prepare meals in accordance with established guidelines

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • Fingerprint clearance card
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Capability to lift heavy items and communicate effectively
  • Certification in Blood Borne Pathogens

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in Environmental Services preferred
  • Familiarity with cleaning agents and their proper use

Licenses and Certifications

  • Food Handlers Card is preferred
