Tax Senior Manager, Private Client Services Expert

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As a key member of our boutique practice, you will have the opportunity to work with high net worth individuals, their families, and other complex tax and financial structures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax consulting and compliance, with experience in estate, income, gift, and trust tax consulting and compliance. You will be responsible for managing tax and consulting engagements, identifying and addressing client needs, and providing technical guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities- Manage tax and consulting engagements, including identifying and addressing client needs and providing technical guidance to team members
- Provide executive presence and act as the primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolution to clients
- Review complex individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns and provide written and verbal feedback to preparers
- Direct communication with government agencies for matters of the highest complexity
- Identify technical issues, conduct advanced tax research, and develop sound recommendations for PCS leadership, clients, and advisors
- Prioritize and review work to keep engagements on track
- Utilize strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills to assist with client needs regarding individual and business decisions
- Assist with PCS/firm contribution responsibilities, including billing, recruiting, attendance, and participation in CPE activities and training
- Build new relationships and maintain existing relationships with BDO professionals and external sources
- Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred
- Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
- Seven or more years prior experience in accounting, finance, or law required
- Experience in the private client service area required
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Experience working in public accounting preferred
Individual salaries are determined after consideration of numerous factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
California Range: $146,000 - $200,000
Colorado Range: $120,000 - $185,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $185,000
Washington Range: $150,000 - $200,000
