This role involves physical tasks, such as lifting and moving inventory, as well as administrative duties related to inventory control and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
    • Record and track stock levels, reorder points, and item usage.
    • Update inventory management systems or tracking records with accurate data.
    • Monitor and report discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records.
  • Receiving and Stocking:
    • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
    • Unload and store materials in designated locations.
    • Label and organize inventory for easy retrieval and efficient operation.
    • Rotate stock to prevent spoilage or obsolescence.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to program specifications.
    • Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
    • Use inventory management software or tracking system to update order status and inventory levels.
  • Storage Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
    • Operate equipment, such as hand trucks.
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.
    • Generate reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and metrics as required.
    • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service:
    • Assist program staff and manager with inventory-related inquiries.
    • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing issues and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
    • Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Bilingual in spoken and written Spanish, preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
    • Capability to climb ladders and reach overhead to access inventory.
    • Manual dexterity to handle small objects and operate equipment.
    • Good visual acuity to read labels, instructions, and to conduct inspections.
