Savino Del Bene is a prominent Global Freight Forwarding Company with a strong presence in the logistics sector. With over 295 offices and a workforce of 5,500 employees worldwide, Savino Del Bene specializes in import, export, customs brokerage, and third-party warehousing solutions across various Vertical Markets. We are in search of a capable Operations Manager to enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and guide the Ocean Import team, fostering strong leadership and mentorship.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Export Regulations and other governmental guidelines related to exports.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to synchronize account activities.
  • Provide effective coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Achieve results by strategically utilizing the skills of team members at optimal times.
  • Lead the resolution of complex issues using effective negotiation strategies.
  • Manage the communication strategy within accounts to ensure clarity and efficiency.
  • Maintain high motivation levels among team members to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members.
  • Proactively assess account changes and their implications for the organization.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate unresolved issues or risks before they significantly affect the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver superior service to clients.
  • Effectively address any issues that may arise.
  • Develop relevant internal and external metrics to evaluate performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring essential job functions are met with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in freight forwarding is essential.
  • At least three years of supervisory or managerial experience is required.
  • Knowledge of incoterms is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in mathematical skills for dimension conversions.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office are required.
  • Highly organized with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Exhibits flexibility and a willingness to adapt to new environments while being a team player.
  • Must adhere to high ethical standards.
