About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Sierra Vista Hospital. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for managing inquiry calls, scheduling assessments, and performing psychiatric evaluations for individuals presenting as appointments or walk-ins.

You will provide clinical summaries and recommendations based on your findings, consult with psychiatrists, and refer/admit individuals to the appropriate level of care. Additionally, you will provide community referrals as indicated and desired by the individual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inquiry calls and schedule assessments
  • Perform psychiatric evaluations for individuals presenting as appointments or walk-ins
  • Provide clinical summaries and recommendations based on findings
  • Consult with psychiatrists and refer/admit individuals to appropriate level of care
  • Provide community referrals as indicated and desired by individual

Requirements:

  • Completed master's degree in social work, MFT, or other mental health-related field
  • A minimum of one year direct clinical experience in psychiatric or mental health setting
  • Good working knowledge of DSM V and experience in patient assessment, motivational interviewing, treatment planning, and communication with other medical licenses and external review organizations
