Role Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as a vital member of the Investment team throughout the investment lifecycle, which includes engaging with current and potential managers and performing both quantitative and qualitative assessments of investment prospects.
  • Support and advocate for investment perspectives.
  • Analyze performance metrics and portfolio attributes, preparing investment proposals for the Investment Committee.
  • Assist in the due diligence process for new and existing private funds and direct co-investments.
  • Conduct thorough industry and market research to identify and evaluate emerging trends.
  • Help prepare quarterly reviews of portfolio performance and market conditions.
  • Assess current fund managers' effectiveness.
  • Maintain spreadsheets tracking manager exposure and performance attribution.
  • Present analytical findings to the investment team.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis in response to client inquiries regarding direct investments and third-party managers.
  • Participate in meetings with investment managers.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive meeting notes.
  • Manage the Salesforce database, ensuring accurate records of managers, funds, contacts, and investment pipelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in investment management or a related finance-oriented field.
  • A bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in a financial institution, valuation firm, endowment, family office, or fund of funds.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively within a small, cohesive team structure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative and collegial approach to teamwork.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to engage in occasional domestic and international travel.

Compensation: $115,000 – $140,000 annually
