As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Optum Bank, you will play a crucial role in steering our vision of becoming the premier financial institution in health care. This position focuses on spearheading technological advancements and driving growth within the banking and health care sectors. Your leadership will be instrumental in formulating and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership: Direct and oversee the bank's technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with our mission and operational needs.
  • Strategic Development: Craft and implement a robust technology strategy that supports the bank's long-term goals.
  • System Oversight: Manage the development and maintenance of technology systems, ensuring security and reliability.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Stay informed about banking regulations, ensuring compliance across all technology operations.
  • Board Engagement: Act as a technology advisor to the board, presenting strategies and performance metrics.
  • Lending Expertise: Utilize your knowledge in commercial and consumer lending to drive asset generation and identify partnership opportunities.
  • M&A Integration: Provide technology insights during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and risk assessments.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles within the banking sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Expertise in commercial and consumer lending, including direct-to-consumer strategies.
  • Proven track record in developing technology strategies that drive business success.
  • Strong relationships with executive leaders and stakeholders to advance business objectives.
  • Experience in building scalable technology solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • History of successful M&A technology integration.
  • Strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise operations.
  • Leadership experience with global software engineering teams.
  • Commitment to developing future leaders through effective coaching and succession planning.
  • Proficient in budgeting and capital management.
  • Leadership style that promotes accountability and innovation.
  • Exceptional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
