Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Software Engineer for AI and Software-Reliant Systems. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for evaluating the operational and ethical performance of AI and software-reliant systems.
  • Identify and recommend T&E infrastructure, tools, processes, and workforce requirements to ensure the evaluation of AI-based systems is conducted with confidence.
  • Represent the Department of Defense at conferences, workshops, and peer-reviewed journals to accelerate innovation and delivery of T&E capabilities.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Required to participate in the direct deposit program.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • This position is subject to the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SOP components.
  • Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. This experience must demonstrate your ability to:

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of operational, live fire, and developmental T&E methods; modeling and simulation tools; data collection and analysis challenges; and knowledge of appropriate related technical disciplines.
  • Apply current knowledge of modem software engineering, DOD Responsible Artificial Intelligence Strategy, joint all-domain command-and-control solutions, complex operating environments, cognitive threats.
  • Apply expertise in advanced AI, and related scientific theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to resolve unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues, provide expert advice to leadership and/or officials responsible for broad program operations and execute significant projects.
