Job Overview

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will provide expert guidance and support to software developers within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Utilizing extensive knowledge of information assurance (IA) principles, the candidate will implement established Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) standards to effectively reduce security vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate technical documentation to ensure adherence to security regulations.
  • Advise on security monitoring solutions to fulfill IA requirements for RMF.
  • Facilitate the assessment and authorization processes for system components to secure necessary operational approvals.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams and cybersecurity professionals to troubleshoot and resolve IA-related software and hardware issues.
  • Design and implement security protocols and solutions tailored to the operational environment, leveraging vendor resources in an agile framework.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Assurance or Information Security System Engineering is required.

Experience:

A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) is essential.

Certifications:

Mandatory certification includes Security+ CE. Additional professional certifications such as CTSM, CISSP, or CCNA are advantageous but not mandatory.

Security Clearance:

This role necessitates a TOP SECRET clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
