Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the 17,000 sq. ft. factory, ensuring efficient production of LED lighting fixtures and assemblies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of production supervisors, assembly technicians, purchasing, and materials planning and support staff focused on LED fixture and assembly production.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Develop and implement LEAN manufacturing strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness for LED lighting fixtures and assemblies.
  • Production Planning: Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and inventory targets for complete fixtures and sub-assemblies.
  • Procurement: Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and production equipment to support manufacturing plans for LED fixtures and assemblies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and workforce are set up to consistently produce fixtures and assemblies to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor production metrics and KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for LED fixture and assembly manufacturing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering to optimize fixture and assembly designs for efficient, high-yield production.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert and provide recommendations to senior leadership on manufacturing capabilities, capacity, and strategies for LED lighting fixtures and assemblies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations for LED fixture and assembly manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of previous experience in manufacturing manager/plant manager type role(s), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at the Director level, or above.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
  • Ideally LED lighting and/or electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in LEAN manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies for LED lighting and complex assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of LED technology, thermal management, optics, and precision assembly processes.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of manufacturing professionals focused on LED fixtures and assemblies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
