Job Overview

Associated Home Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our team in delivering exceptional patient care and services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for direct care staff to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the non-medical home care service delivery team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on new and changed regulations, reviewing records and documentation to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and contract requirements.
  • Coach and develop staff, recommending in-service education programs and ensuring adherence to internal policies and standards.
  • Promote quality and participate in care coordination to ensure proper communication between caregivers, clients, and referral sources.
  • Develop and implement quarterly supervision visits, skill checks, and annual performance reviews for home care aides in compliance with Federal and State regulations and contract requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of start-of-care and annual Home Health Aide care plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with strong clinical skills and the ability to perform field visits if necessary.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a home health or personal care management role.
  • Multi-site leadership experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Home Health agency regulations, conditions of participation, and compliance standards and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and language skills.
  • A proactive, customer-service-oriented approach, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, take initiative without direct supervision, set priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands
  • Must remain in a stationary position for extended periods at a desk or computer.
  • Requires occasional standing, sitting, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, hearing, and talking.
