Position Summary

AHD is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee a range of financial and administrative functions critical to the organization’s fiscal integrity and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will manage the accounting operations and month-end closing activities, supervise treasury and banking functions, ensure accurate tax submissions, and coordinate the preparation of essential legal documents. This role will require close collaboration with various internal stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial data, thereby facilitating the efficient functioning of our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly financial closing processes for multiple entities using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Manage Amex and MasterCard accounts, coordinating activities with the Controller.
  • Maintain relationships with credit card providers, ensuring timely submission of annual financial statements and effective account management.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive budgets, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts to support strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate the establishment of new legal entities with external legal counsel and internal teams, including the preparation of necessary legal documents.
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports for various jurisdictions.
  • Administer treasury management functions, including the setup of new investment accounts as necessary.
  • Track and manage loan documentation, ensuring timely follow-up on payments.
  • Oversee lease agreements, including annual renewals and negotiations for new contracts.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for all properties, managing annual renewals.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include regular communication, frequent sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds. The role may require working in an open environment with varying temperatures and standard lighting.

Compensation:

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $135,000, with variations based on experience and qualifications.
