About the Role:

We are seeking candidates with a strong background in public accounting who can adeptly manage both financial statement and tax requirements for our clients. Our firm prides itself on providing a comprehensive experience by integrating both financial accounting and tax services. The teams assigned to projects, often consisting of both in-house and remote professionals, collaborate closely to deliver exceptional results from start to finish.

Our firm specializes in financial services, including mortgage and banking sectors, catering to clients with revenues ranging from $0 to over $1 billion. We conduct audits, reviews, and compilations, alongside tax responsibilities primarily focused on corporate entities, while also managing individual tax returns for employees of our large mortgage banking clients.

In addition to our core accounting services, we offer a robust business consulting practice that encompasses merger and acquisition advisory, valuations, financing solutions, and succession planning. Our accountants are actively involved in these significant transactions, gaining valuable experience as part of the client engagement team.

While familiarity with CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of one year of accounting experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience in preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, as well as corporate and partnership returns. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, coordinate, and deliver tax return preparation, compliance, and advisory services for a diverse clientele, including S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and Partnerships.
  • Provide tailored estate, trust, gift, and income tax planning and preparation services for high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Review complex Federal, multi-state, and local tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for individuals and entities to achieve optimal tax outcomes.
  • Conduct research and provide consultation on tax-related issues, technical matters, and special projects.
  • Manage and resolve Internal Revenue Service audits, assisting clients with IRS, State, and local notices and correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their other professional advisors to ensure outstanding service and value.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members; participate in performance evaluations.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Outlook; experience with CCH is advantageous.
