Job Summary:

This role, in collaboration with the Patient Experience team at AHMC Healthcare, will perform daily rounding on patients and families to assess their needs and work with nursing and other staff to ensure those needs are met. The staff member will demonstrate professional courtesy at all times and model excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily rounding on patients and families to assess their needs and collaborate with nursing and other staff to ensure those needs are met.
  2. Respond to basic non-clinical concerns and provide appropriate referrals for further assistance when needed.
  3. Conduct discharge follow-up phone calls and perform other patient/family satisfaction activities as requested.
  4. Collaborate with the Patient Experience team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  1. High School Graduate; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  2. Bilingual communication skills, including fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish, and the ability to read/write in Chinese or Spanish is preferred.
  3. Current BCLS Card (AHA)
  4. Minimum one year experience working in healthcare, preferably in acute care hospital, is required. Prior experience in customer service/customer relations is preferred.
