About the Role

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Adult Primary Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist medical and nursing staff with clerical and clinical support tasks
  • Coordinate patient and provider schedules
  • Perform clinical tasks that support patient care, including patient flow, rooming, and taking medical histories
  • Contribute to the strength of our Team Medicine approach to collaborative medicine
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a medical office or clinic, or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant Program
  • Ability to obtain Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree or equivalent
