Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at Forge Biologics. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of our GMP manufacturing, laboratory, and utility equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping systems.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of equipment as needed, ensuring all work is done in accordance with OEM recommendations and internal SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality control, and process development, to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions and maintenance procedures, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project reviews and provide input on equipment selection and installation.
  • Perform site acceptance testing and ensure all equipment is properly commissioned and validated.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms and trends in building management and monitoring systems.
  • Develop and maintain a spare parts program to ensure critical equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and documentation management.
  • Preferred: Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
