Job Summary

As a Trust Tax Officer at Fulton Bank, N.A., you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate preparation and filing of income tax returns for trusts, estates, private foundations, and partnership returns. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing wills and trust documents to determine trust accounts have been properly set up for distributions and terminations. You will also be responsible for advising trust administrators of tax situations in their accounts which could affect the beneficiary or owner of the account.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file fiduciary estimated tax payments
  • Review account and transactional coding throughout the fiscal year
  • Respond to federal and state taxing authority tax notices
  • Self-directed research to increase tax knowledge
  • Attend applicable tax-related seminars

Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience
  • 7 or more years of experience in a trust tax department or comparable environment
