Trust Tax Specialist

Job Summary:
Fulton Bank, N.A. is seeking a highly skilled Trust Tax Officer to join our team. As a Trust Tax Officer, you will be responsible for the preparation of income tax returns, tax returns for trusts, estates, private foundations, and 1099s for assigned accounts, and gift and partnership returns or common trust funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and filing of the applicable income tax returns for trusts, estates, private foundations, and partnership returns, common trust funds, and 1099s.
- Review wills and trust documents to determine trust accounts have been properly set up for distributions and terminations.
- Review transaction coding to identify and correct miscoded transactions.
- Advise trust administrators of tax situations in their accounts which could affect the beneficiary or owner of the account.
- Prepare and file fiduciary estimated tax payments.
- Review account and transactional coding throughout the fiscal year.
- Respond to federal and state taxing authority tax notices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or the equivalent experience.
- 7 or more years Trust tax department or other comparable environment.
