Wine and Beverage Expert Wanted

St. Anselm, an American tavern affiliated with STARR Restaurants, is seeking a skilled Wine and Beverage Expert to join their team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and experienced individual to oversee the wine and beverage program at St. Anselm. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for wine and a deep understanding of the culinary world.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain an extensive wine list, including inventory and ordering
  • Develop and implement wine and beverage menus that complement our culinary offerings
  • Provide exceptional wine service to guests, including wine pairings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative wine and food pairings
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest wine trends and developments

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in a metropolitan restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of wine, including wine styles, grape varietals, and regions
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Wine certification, such as WSET, CMS, or SWE, is highly desirable
