Job Title: Network Infrastructure Deployment Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Schedule: M-F, Core Hours

Pay Range: $34/hr. - $36/hr.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Network Infrastructure Deployment Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to support the expansion of our next-generation networks across multiple data center locations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks and possess strong network implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable network solutions and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineering and Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure rapid and smooth rollout of new designs and products.
  • Apply extensive TCP/IP networking knowledge to support network operations.
  • Utilize a broad understanding of infrastructure technologies, including network cabling and standard optic types.
  • Manage tasks and priorities through a ticketing system and workflow management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and remove project obstacles.
  • Travel within the region as required.
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interactions.
  • Complete customer requests via the Remedy trouble ticketing system.
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in network support and implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of Ethernet and IP networking, including IP protocol application.
  • Substantial experience in large-scale data center network implementations and support.
  • Experience in virtualized enterprise networking environments is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for an entire scheduled 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks, maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to move and lift computer equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
