Job Title: Occupational Health Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Technician to join our team at WorkCare, Inc. As an Occupational Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing medical services to our clients and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite medical care and first aid to employees, including rapid response to emergencies and coordination with WorkCare's Incident Intervention program.
  • Conduct medical exams, provide episodic care, and offer health promotion and education to employees.
  • Support injury prevention through ergonomic evaluations and education.
  • Assist with new hire exams, return-to-work assessments, and medical surveillance exams.
  • Collaborate with the WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality medical care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and data, and provide regular reports to clients and WorkCare management.
  • Participate in emergency response team activities, drills, and training.
Requirements:
  • Current Occupational Health Technician license in the state of practice (Idaho).
  • 3-4 years of experience in occupational health or a related field.
  • CPR/ACLS certification and current valid Driver's License.
  • DOT, Drug & Alcohol Certification, and CAHOC Certification.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 10:00pm to 6:00am. The work environment is mainly indoor, office conditions with moderate noise levels and good air quality.
