Job Summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Occupational Health. As an essential member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for delivering direct and indirect care utilizing your scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess health status and develop interventions collaboratively with the clinical team
  • Perform physical examinations on patients of all ages, including medical, family, and social history
  • Document all patient visits in electronic medical record in a timely manner
  • Interpret subjective and objective data to formulate a diagnosis and develop treatment plans
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, order diagnostic laboratory tests, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding disease processes, test results, and preventative healthcare
  • Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies
Requirements
  • Unencumbered license to practice as PA or NP in the state of Maine
  • Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required
  • DOT Medical Exam Certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in Occupational Health preferred
