Mortenson is a leader in the construction industry, and we're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations Intern. As a key member of our accounting team, you will assist with core accounting tasks, including monthly and quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, and data analysis. You will also gain an understanding of our month-end and quarter-end close process and support the team with ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with performing monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Gain an understanding of the month-end and quarter-end close process
  • Perform data analysis and prepare support for annual audit procedures
  • Support the team with ad hoc requests
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Accounting
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Effective communication (written and oral) and active listening skills
  • Strong research and data analysis ability
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
