We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist I to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluation, consultation, and skilled treatment for patients with impaired abilities to cope with daily tasks.
Responsibilities- Diagnostic Testing: Administer basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations to identify functional deficits and related impairments.
- Education: Teach and supervise graduate Occupational Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents, and develop innovative programs to enhance patient care.
- Evaluation of Care: Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify subsequent treatment programs.
- Implementation: Select and apply current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services.
- Outreach/Community Involvement: Serve as a resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals, and participate in community health screening and events.
- Participation: Contribute to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services.
- Quality: Contribute to quality of clinical services through maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress.
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- No prior experience required.
This is a per diem position with consistent 16-24 hours per week. Emphasis on acute care needs with some potential flexibility to outpatient care.
