UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist I to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluation, consultation, and treatment for patients with impaired abilities to cope with daily tasks.
This per diem position offers a consistent 16-24 hours per week, with an emphasis on acute care needs and potential flexibility to outpatient settings. You will work under the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist II or Supervisor and be expected to contribute to continuing education, departmental, and community activities.
Responsibilities:
- Administer diagnostic tests and evaluations to identify functional deficits and related impairments.
- Teach and supervise graduate Occupational Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents.
- Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs.
- Select and apply current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new clinical programs.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- No prior experience required.
Work Details:
- Per diem position with consistent 16-24 hours per week.
- Emphasis on acute care needs with potential flexibility to outpatient settings.
- Exempt from overtime.
