Job Summary

The Site Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that all work is installed and maintained in accordance with the Company's and Customer's requirements, including safety, quality, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly lead and work alongside a crew of cabling/telecommunication technicians.
  • Lay out work, ensuring that equipment and information are on site to meet construction schedules and deadlines.
  • Provide hands-on technical and administrative direction, supervising large crews.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the data/communications industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Cat 5, 6, and fiber optics, including terminations.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations.
  • Ability to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • Ability to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
Education and Certification
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 6 months' supervisory and/or managerial experience.
  • Proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
