Overview:


Edgewater Federal Solutions is looking for a System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Infrastructure Specialist to support our federal government client in driving digital transformation initiatives across both classified and unclassified IT environments.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of Engineers, Administrators, Analysts, and Managers to devise effective solutions for intricate enterprise IT challenges. Your role will involve direct interaction with senior leadership, including the CIO and other key stakeholders, to systematically modernize IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless continuity of existing operations.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Design, implement, and configure SCCM infrastructure tailored to meet organizational needs, encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment, and inventory oversight.

2. Configure and maintain WSUS for effective patch management and software update rollouts.

3. Integrate and manage Intune for mobile device management and advanced management functionalities.

4. Administer Office 365 services and their integration within SCCM for application deployment and oversight.

5. Oversee Active Directory and Azure Active Directory integration with SCCM for user and device administration.

6. Implement and sustain Group Policy Management for centralized policy governance and deployment.

7. Exhibit expertise in fundamental infrastructure services and functions, including ADFS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and LDAP.

8. Deploy and manage Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments to bolster SCCM infrastructure.

9. Utilize MSSQL and reporting services to generate insightful SCCM reports and evaluate system performance.

10. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and enhance SCCM capabilities.

11. Manage and maintain SCCM servers, site hierarchy, and client systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

12. Formulate and implement SCCM deployment strategies for software updates, applications, and operating systems across the organization.

13. Monitor SCCM infrastructure using SCOM to proactively identify and resolve issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.

14. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate SCCM with existing systems, processes, and tools for seamless operation and automation.

15. Provide technical expertise and support to troubleshoot and resolve SCCM-related incidents, problems, and service requests.

16. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for SCCM configuration, administration, and support.


Stay current with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in SCCM, Windows Core Services, and SCOM to continually enhance infrastructure and processes.

17. Mentor and train junior staff members on SCCM administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.

18. Recommend technical standards and policies.

19. Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot, maintain, and implement hardware and software solutions.

20. Analyze and enhance system performance and reliability.

21. Document and update systems architecture diagrams and server rack elevations using Microsoft Visio.

22. Conduct risk assessments, account audits, access rights audits, and activity audits.

23. Develop disaster recovery procedures, including the implementation of warm site strategies and testing of critical application failover.


Maintain system performance through diligent monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, system hardware installation, firmware patching, and VMware software updates.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SCCM administration and deployment.

- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract. Must possess an active DOE Q or TS/SCI clearance.

- Proficiency in managing WSUS, Intune, Active Directory, Office 365, and Group Policy Management.

- Strong knowledge of core infrastructure services and functions such as ADFS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and LDAP.

- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) administration.

- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as

MCSE:
Core Infrastructure or related certifications.

- Experience with SCCM upgrades and migrations.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
