AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Air team. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career path to Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competency in environmental regulatory programs and compliance, including:
  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
  • Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA)
  • National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)
  • Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC)
  • EHS Auditing
  • Competency in environmental due diligence, qualifying as an ASTM Environmental Professional
  • Ability to develop and manage Phase II environmental site investigations, including water, soil, and air sampling, investigation techniques, and procedures
  • Provide technical support for regulatory compliance and environmental due diligence projects, including completion of technical quality reviews
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of a project team and attend client meetings, as requested
  • Develop client relationships and assist in business growth, focusing on the Baltimore area
  • Mentor junior-level staff
  • Obtain AECOM Project Manager Certification within 1 year of employment

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, primarily regionally but may include some nationwide, overnight travel
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License and, as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review
