Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team at Community Health Service Inc. in Grafton, ND. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage high volumes of inbound and outbound calls, providing timely and accurate assistance to patients and staff.
- Process patient payments, verify insurance coverage, and update patient information in our electronic health record system.
- Provide direct assistance to patients, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate party.
- Complete initial registration information for new patients, following established policies and procedures.
- Update patient information in our database and scan updated paperwork into the electronic health record system.
- Follow established communication protocols when handling patient inquiries and concerns.
- Identify patient needs, clarify information, research issues, and provide solutions and alternatives.
- Verify pharmacy information and other clinical details related to patient visits.
- Process patient payments over the phone and document notes in our system.
- Monitor automatic call reminder systems and manually remind patients of appointments when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Administration Certificate or 2 years of experience in medical reception is required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word for basic correspondence.
- Must be able to use a calculator.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (English/Arabic) (English/Somali) preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt to our specific environment and duties.
- Demonstrate clear knowledge of our clinic structure, standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Must have neat and legible handwriting.
- Must be able to interact with patients courteously and calmly.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clients, vendors, and staff.
