Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team at the City of Reno. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our relational databases to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement logical and physical databases to meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain database-driven websites and applications
  • Ensure database security and integrity through regular backups and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Three years of experience in relational database design and administration
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and software
