Job Title: Therapist - PRN

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is seeking a skilled Therapist - PRN to join our team. As a Therapist - PRN, you will be responsible for conducting therapeutic services for patients, providing counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups, and developing treatment plans to promote cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct group, individual, and family therapy sessions as scheduled and/or assigned, documenting patients'/families' response to interventions.
  • Prepare Psychosocial Assessments for each patient according to established time frames, ensuring that all appropriate information is included and shared with treatment team members.
  • Oversee case management and discharge planning components of the patient's Master Treatment Plan and MTP reviews, documenting discussion of the plan with the patient and family as appropriate.
  • Develop aftercare plans with the patient, assessing the need and arranging for community agency support as appropriate and documenting it.
  • Report known or suspected abuse of patients.
  • Work cooperatively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
  • Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LMFTI, or LMHCI required.
  • One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual, and group therapy with children and/or adolescents.
  • Work is mentally demanding. Extensive walking, standing, and sitting. Must be able to participate in the physical restraint and seclusion of patients. Must be able to participate in and complete Handle With Care Training on an annual basis.
