Job Title: SOM Pediatric Radiologist - Subspecialty Expert

The mission of the Virginia Commonwealth University's Department of Radiology is to deliver exceptional care in a patient-centered environment, offering sub-specialty expertise and top-quality imaging and therapeutic procedures.

We are currently seeking a Pediatric Radiologist to join our team of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will provide specialized diagnostic radiology services for pediatric patients, including CT, MR, US, fluoroscopy, and radiographs. They will also train residents within our academic radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Provide training to medical students, residents, and fellows who rotate through the Department of Radiology.
  • Research: Foster interdisciplinary research with Pediatric subspecialties.
  • Service: Participate in academic service-related activities, including committee work and professional growth.
  • Clinical: Provide high-quality sub-specialized imaging interpretations for assigned modalities, supporting referring physicians and patients.
Requirements:
  • ABR certification or passing core component of the ABR examination.
  • Pediatric Radiology fellowship training or equivalent experience.
  • Current license to practice medicine in Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
  • Eligibility for permanent employment in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Earned or eligible to earn Certificate of Additional Qualifications from the American Board of Radiology.
Salary:

$160,000 - $200,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
