Chief Purpose of this position:

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and SleepMedicine at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is seeking an individualinterested in a part time position and contribute to Pediatric Pulmonology's programsuccess. Candidates should be eager to join and augment a superior academicpulmonary and sleep division that provides clinical coverage within a PediatricMedical Center that has recently experienced significant dynamic growth withina new inpatient hospital which opened in April of 2023.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Clinical: Faculty member will maintain a practice inPediatric Pulmonology, both in the outpatient and inpatient setting.Will work weekends.
  • Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilitiesin the area of Pediatric Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine. Faculty member willprovide teaching and mentorship to Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows.
  • Research: Research aspirations areencouraged but not required; support for these activities will depend uponprior accomplishments and potential.
  • Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental orSchool of Medicine committees when appropriate, as well in a professionalcapacity in their field, e.g.: reviewer, conference organizer, etc.
Required Qualifications:
  • Board certified or board eligible in PediatricPulmonology
  • Training inPediatric Pulmonology
  • Experiencewith clinical care of patients ages birth to 21
  • Experiencewith education of house staff, medical students, and others
  • Demonstratedexperience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and studentenvironment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previousexperience in an academic medical center
  • Researchfocus and/or external funding
  • Demonstratedexcellent teaching skills
