Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Education Team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide specialized instruction, collaboration, grading, and assessment of assigned special education students following the school curriculum.
- Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support students with challenging behaviors.
- Assist regular classroom teachers in developing instructional strategies to support students with special needs.
- Administer and score standardized tests, and develop alternative testing methods as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including IEPs, progress reports, and grading.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and evaluation to stay current on best practices in special education.
- Supervise and direct 1:1 aides and teaching assistants as needed.
- Participate in treatment team, systems, and faculty meetings as required.
- Bachelor's Degree with a professional educator's certification with an endorsement in Special Education for the appropriate grade level.
- Two or more years of experience in instruction in the field of special education, particularly at the middle school and high school levels.
- Experience working with students with educational disabilities.
- New Hampshire Teacher License.
