At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technologist to join our team in the NCR Pulmonology practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have experience in pulmonary function testing and cardiac monitoring, with a strong background in respiratory therapy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and recording pulmonary function procedures, as well as performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures on patient care units, in the department, or in the outpatient clinic. As a Pulmonary Function/Cardiac Technologist, the individual will serve as an intermediate to high-level resource capable of independent work with the Pulmonary Laboratory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with certificate in respiratory therapy or associate's degree in respiratory therapy or bachelor's degree in health science or biology required
  • CPR (BLS) certification required
  • Credentialing through the N.B.R.C. as a respiratory care practitioner or pulmonary function technologist required
  • One year (12 months) experience in a pulmonary function lab, preferably in an academic/research environment
