Job Title: Private Banking Relationship Manager

Trustmark is seeking a highly skilled Private Banking Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Private Banking department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our high net worth clients, delivering customized financial solutions, and building strong relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the entire credit approval process, including loan approval within lending authority for consumer and commercial relationships.
  • Service a loan portfolio, including credit and collateral exceptions and past dues.
  • Work with partners to provide deposit solutions and other retail services to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work with the team to provide non-bank solutions to meet the clients' needs, including planning, investments, insurance, and fiduciary services.
  • Coordinate the development of new private banking business and call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and promote company services and solutions.
  • Maintain professional community relations, including leadership roles, to increase the bank's visibility and new business opportunities, and to further professional development.
  • Provide financial and banking advice and counseling through a team approach to Trustmark's high net worth clients.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year college education or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years banking experience or related work experience, including previous lending experience.
  • Knowledgeable of Private Banking and the bank's financial products and services.
  • Knowledge of deposit and loan products, as well as bank policy.
  • Knowledge of document preparation and new accounts systems.
  • Knowledge of negotiable instruments.
  • Complete understanding of the requirements of properly securing a loan.
  • Familiar with state and federal regulations and bank policies relating to credit.
  • Knowledge of sales principles.
  • Knowledge of basic investment strategies implemented by high net worth clients.
  • Knowledge of basic estate planning strategies implemented by high net worth clients.
  • Knowledge of basic insurance strategies implemented by high net worth clients.
  • Superior judgment in making loan decisions.
  • Experience dealing with sophisticated clientele.
  • Experience in recognizing and handling troubled loans and problem customers.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of loan and deposit debits and credits.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships.
  • Customer contact and sales and service skills.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Ability to lead the work of others.
