Job Title: Senior Compensation Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team at the Natural Resources Defense Council Inc. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing compensation policies and programs that align with our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain compensation plans and performance-based pay initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR teams, Talent Acquisition, and other departments to ensure effective, data-driven compensation decisions
  • Provide guidance on compensation practices and policies to HR Partners and Talent Acquisition
  • Evaluate and price new and existing roles to ensure consistency and competitiveness across departments
  • Drive compensation projects to ensure alignment with NRDC's goals, market standards, and equity principles
  • Maintain and update compensation structures for NRDC international offices
  • Conduct ad hoc and in-depth compensation analyses to ensure compliance with compensation programs and provide data-driven insights for decision-making
  • Lead the technical implementation and ongoing maintenance of PayScale and/or PayFactors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ~4-7 years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR functions, with a strong focus on compensation program development and administration
  • ~Hands-on experience with compensation software such as PayScale, PayFactors, or similar tools
  • ~Experience managing international compensation programs, brokers, and compensation survey partners
  • ~Proven ability to implement compensation software solutions and maintain data accuracy across multiple platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, data modeling) for compensation analysis and reporting
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems and compensation management tools and the ability to support integration and data accuracy
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools
