Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

Nurses First Solutions is seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and analyze patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, health promotion, and the management of chronic health conditions.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide acute care as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Experience working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
