Position Overview:
A Senior Audio Visual Field Engineer will be responsible for the commissioning of intricate systems and providing support to fellow Field Engineers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive testing and fine-tuning of all Audio Visual equipment to ensure optimal performance, both independently and as part of a cohesive system, adhering to design specifications.
- Travel to client locations to verify that the Audio Visual solutions are installed, configured, and functioning as intended.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise, maintaining effective communication with the team.
- Mentor junior Field Engineers and provide remote assistance to ensure adherence to best practices and company guidelines during system commissioning.

What You Will Do:
- Commission systems both on-site and remotely, optimizing settings across audio, video, display, control, and networking components.
- Collaborate closely with system programmers to ensure control systems operate seamlessly.
- Lead teams on larger projects, coordinating with programming, installation, and engineering teams to document and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Provide simple code and touch panel updates under the guidance of the assigned programmer.
- Stay informed on the latest technology, firmware updates, and common field issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex Audio Visual problems while offering mentorship and remote support to other Field Engineers.

Complexity of Role:
The field aspect of this role adds complexity to system commissioning. A high level of knowledge across various Audio Visual equipment and manufacturers is essential, along with a deep understanding of audio, video, control, and networking systems.

Decision-Making Authority:
While typically working independently post-installation, the Senior Field Engineer will coordinate with team members to ensure smooth project completion and effective communication.

Physical Requirements:
Employees may frequently encounter construction site conditions and must comply with safety regulations. Responsibilities include:
- Spending significant time on foot and navigating construction sites.
- Occasionally climbing ladders and lifting materials up to 40 pounds.
- Utilizing office equipment when not on-site.

Travel Requirements:
This role requires frequent travel by car and occasional air travel. A valid driver's license is necessary, and local travel to job sites will comprise the majority of travel activities.

Safety Protocols:
Maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure timely resolution of hazards.

Qualifications:
- Networking knowledge and/or certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience as a Field Engineer is required.
- AVIXA CTS Certification is highly desirable, with additional certifications preferred based on the technology focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with excellent customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with audio, video, and network-based systems is advantageous.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex Audio Visual technical issues is crucial.
