Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled pharmacist to join our team in a closed-door setting in Smyrna, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness.
  2. Recommend changes to physician and facility staff as necessary.
  3. Maintain patient/resident database with current and past medical history.
  4. Evaluate laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
  6. Document communication with physicians, nurses, and patients/residents.
  7. Ensure safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of drugs and biologicals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Pharm D preferred.
  • 1+ year experience in long-term care.
  • Valid/Active Pharmacist license in Georgia.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations.
