As a Membership Services Representative, you will provide exceptional service to our members, promote and sell programs and memberships, and participate in administrative support functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Membership Services: Provide information regarding membership and program offerings, stay up-to-date on program brochure information and special events, and be prepared to provide personalized direction to other services.
- Customer Service: Work in a fast-paced environment and deal with the public in a professional manner, answering all telephone calls within 3 rings in a professional manner and in accordance with branch procedures.
- Sales and Marketing: Aggressively promote and sell membership, process all membership, camp, program, and child care registrations, and issue membership IDs to members.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support such as typing, data entry, photocopying, and faxing, reconcile end-of-shift money received through the sale of membership, merchandise, camp, program, and child care registrations.
- Teamwork and Communication: Maintain good public relations with members, work in harmony and cooperation with staff, volunteers, and members of the YMCA to develop team spirit and family atmosphere, and attend staff/team meetings and events.
- Safety and Risk Management: Assist with insuring a risk-free environment, caution people regarding unsafe practices and conditions, report accidents and injuries, and complete incident reports.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- High School Diploma preferred. No specific experience required.
- Certifications / Training (not all are needed to apply): CPR and First Aid Certifications within 1st 30 days of employment, OSHA Training, Child Care Prevention, and Listen First within 1st 90 days of employment.
