Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our team at UofL Health. As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medication order evaluation and verification, drug distribution, sterile and extemporaneous compounding, technical supervision, and clinical services.
  • Collaborate with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to improve medication use.
  • Develop and implement clinical and operational initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in formulary management, medication use evaluation, and other pharmacy-related activities.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to pharmacy technicians and students.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY-1) Pharmacy Residency or three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Current board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties (preferred).
