About the Role

Virginia Oncology Associates is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for a Medical Transcription Specialist to join our dedicated team. As a Medical Transcription Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient information.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Chart patient encounters in real-time using Electronic Health Record templates.
  2. Manage medical documents and generate referral letters as needed.
  3. Collaborate with physicians to clarify unclear dictation and ensure accurate transcription.
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year's experience as a medical scribe or transcriptionist.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems a plus.
  • CMT certification desired.
Salary Information: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $48,000 and $58,000, depending on experience.
