At Wolverine Fire Protection Co., we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Systems Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and preparing layouts of sprinkler systems, detail drawings, and diagrams.
The Fire Protection Systems Designer will be responsible for designing and hydraulically calculating complete sprinkler and standpipe systems using AutoSPRINK software. They will also coordinate design with other building trades, produce stock lists of materials required throughout job progression, and coordinate with project managers and internal teams.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a thorough knowledge of NFPA Standards, government fire safety standards, and FM Global datasheets. They must also be proficient in AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office software, and have experience with 3D BIM coordination.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of self-discipline, motivation, and ability to operate in a team environment. They must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and meet established deadlines, prioritize effectively, and practice self-implemented quality control measures.
Minimum qualifications for this role include a minimum of 3 years' experience in fire sprinkler design, a valid driver's license, and the ability to maintain it, and NICET Certification. Rare overnight travel may be required.
